Q&A: Upcoming Swedish band MOMENT talk new single All This Time

Few bands have caught our attention this past year like Stockholm pop trio MOMENT who last week premiered the music video for their pulsing new banger All This Time, just a few weeks after releasing their superb major label debut Indigo. We fired Raz from the Swedish band a few questions to find about the new single, their new label home and what’s coming up on the horizon.

Tell us about the new single All This Time.

In a way it’s a love song but it’s also a breaking up song – kind of a sad song but also a happy song! We love the fact that it has a moody dark verse but an uplifting pre-chorus! It was actually two songs from the beginning, but together they became something magical!

You’re very good at making catchy electropop songs with big choruses. What kind of artists do you get your inspiration from?

That’s a really tough question actually. The three of us [Joel, Jacob and Raz] listen to very different music styles, but of course we all like POP music. I can only speak for my self when I say M83, OneRepublic, The 1975, Future Island, White Lies and Hurts.

There was a big gap between releasing your very first single Sorry For You and Indigo. What were you getting up to all that time?

All that time we where working on ”All This Time” 😉 True story!

How did you end up with Warner Music Sweden?

We released some songs on our own and Warner discovered us through our manager, they liked what we where working on! From the fist meeting it felt like the perfect match 🙂

What’s on the horizon for MOMENT in 2017?

There’s a lot of stuff happening atm. Gigs are booked and plans are made, lots of secret stuff! But we’ll definitely release a new single after the summer and an EP at the end of the year, or in the beginning of 2018!

Have you had any starstruck moments yet?

We actually just got a message by a guy in Germany who had downloaded all our songs and made his own physical EP, that was pretty cool!

All This Time is out now.
