This new Monsieur Adi single is one that I’ve had a tough time keeping a lid on since hearing it back in November for the first time. A fully-qualified banger that continually builds upon its intro’s sweeping waves of orchestral-electronics and synthesized percussion, Stay Up Late quickly establishes itself as an utterly absorbing and ultimately euphoric pop smash that’s primed for the dancefloor and your pre and post-club playlists, thanks to the pairing of Adi’s masterful production skills and the dexterous vocal turns and ad-libs from flame-haired Scottish songstress Red. The track was co-written by MNEK (!) and Tre-Jean Marie (!!) and serves as the follow up to the Parisian producer’s VÉRITÉ collab Bad Habits. Both will feature on Adi’s upcoming debut album After Hours which will be out later this year.
