MUNA debut new single I Know A Place

Forget the usual contenders. If you’re after an all-female fronted group who are championing and delivering shimmering, hooks-laden, all-out pop stompers, then look no further than MUNA.

I Know A Place is taken from the LA-based trio’s upcoming debut album About U which is scheduled for a 3 February release via Columbia Records and available to preorder now. The emotionally charged track is the first new offering MUNA have released since dropping their brilliant debut EP The Loudspeaker (THAT title track) earlier this year, and it doesn’t disappoint in the slightest.
The blend of galloping, syncopated beats, harmonious vocals and dreamy, synth-washed melodies make for an absolute treat, pouring out HAIM meets 80s soft rock power ballad vibes but there’s a more serious message at the crux of the song which the band shared on Twitter.

Having spent the past twelve months playing festivals like SXSW and touring with fellow pop deities St. Lucia and Miike Snow, MUNA last month scored their first television break, playing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, no less. The future is bright so get on board.
