Born Stranger are a new-ish band emerging out of Northampton, fronted by lead singer David and producer and synth player Raife who have been working together for several years now. On 19 August, the duo wil release their brand new single Fire and the Flame – a blend of brooding, New Wave-leaning electropop, bolstered by a crashing chorus – and it’s already been drawing attention from the likes of Radio X and BBC Introducing.
“Fire and the Flame is about the moment you realise you and your
childhood sweetheart are over, you’ve grown apart,” the British band say about their debut single which was premiered earlier this month via the Independent. “It’s got a lot of hope but there is also a sense of sadness. We feel like it’s a great introduction to the band.”
