Tor Miller has premiered the official music video for his latest single Surrender.
The clip for the horns and drums backed, falsetto-fuelled number was was directed by Meghan Doherty and shot in New York. Surrender is the latest offering from the New Yorker’s upcoming debut studio album American English, out 30 September via Glassnote Records, and it follows the release of his earlier singles Carter & Cash and Baby Blue.
“In a musical environment where most of the songs are minimally arranged and pristine, I wanted Surrender to sound expansive and brash,” says Tor. “The production is unapologetically cacophonous, and that’s what I love about it. With every listen I can’t help but think back to working in the studio for weeks overdubbing whatever we could think of to make the song sound even bigger.”
Having just completed a US your alongside Norwegian artist tour, Tor will soon announce details of upcoming UK dates.
