All I Want is the latest track from Swedish tour de force Marlene who you may remember as being the pop siren who served our senses a few years back with the brilliant singles Stay Awake and Indian Summer, and guested on a track from Giorgio Moroder’s Deja Vu album in 2015.
This new offering is a blissful, synth-sprinkled, summery jam that, in an interview with The Line of Best Fit, Marlene describes as being about “waking up one day, feeling that you’ve finally made it through.”
“Like waking up to the first sunny day of spring after dragging yourself through a really tough winter. And that’s pretty much how I felt when we wrote the song, like I had survived some darker days.”
The interview also reveals that Marlene’s second EP will follow later this year with another single, and her debut album will arrive in 2017. Plus she’s been listening to a bit of Craig David.
