It’s been almost a year to the day that I first posted about Dominique, after being introduced to her glitchy synth-gem Don’t. In the 12 months that have passed since, the emerging NYC-based electro chanteuse has kept a relatively low profile although, in November, she treated us to her Rachel Stevens-esque opus I Think I’m Fallin‘ – the first song she produced herself, and one that we could listen to for days. Such is the high standard and the infrequency of her output, we definitely get the impression that she’s in absolutely no rush at all to churn out any old crap for the sake of it, and for that we are very grateful.
So here we have her third release in twelve months. Good Girl is yet another stellar, cinematic slice of slinky electropop which catches Dominique cooing and coaxing in all the right places. The track is the lead cut from her upcoming debut EP and we are expecting great things.
