OneRepublic have released the first track from their upcoming fourth album, which will be released later this year via Interscope Records.
Wherever I Go was written by frontman Ryan Tedder, Noel Zancanella and Brent Kutzle, and serves as the lead cut from the band’s full length follow up to their 2013 collection Native which spawned the #1 single Counting Stars, as well as the hits If I Lose Myself, Feel Again, Something I Need, I Lived and Love Runs Out.
Tedder talked about the soaring track in a recent interview with Wonderland.
“I think it’s gonna be shocking, kind of the first response anyone has is their eyes are kind of spread open like ‘Oh my god’. It’s not indicative of the entire album but it’s kind of like if you go have dinner, you don’t order steak for an appetizer and steak for dinner, you split it up, and you have different things, so the first single is – it’s definitely an appetizer, I think it’s the best appetizer we could come up with.”
