First up will be the release of his second EP, the follow up to last year’s Found, and you can now hear the new collection’s lead cut which is streaming at the foot of this post. As well as showcasing his skills behind the mixing desk, Owls – a multi-textured slice of ambient, whirring electronica – also gives the multi-talented musician a platform to knead in his own vocals which are touched to add either the warm glow or brooding introspective that the tempo-shifting production dictates.
If that wasn’t enough, Alexander’s first live US show will put him on stage opening for The Chainsmokers no less at their sold out gig at Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Denver on 1 September. With the NYC duo currently experiencing a well deserved chart resurgence as an electronic dance outfit to contend with off the back of their recent string of international hits with Rozes and Daya, this has the potential to be a show that puts cln on the radar.
