BROODS announce new album Conscious:

New Zealand duo Broods have announced details of their upcoming second studio album.

Conscious will be released via Capitol Records and Universal Music on 24 June, as the follow up to Caleb and Georgia’s acclaimed 2014 debut Evergreen (our review here). It arrives preceded by the release of its first single Free which reached the Top 40 in both Australia and New Zealand last months.

Conscious sees the siblings reuniting with Joel Little who is presiding over proceedings as the record’s executive producer. It also boasts further production and songwriting collaborations with Alex Hope (Troye Sivan, Guy Sebastian, Tina Arena) and Captain Cuts (Halsey, Smallpools, WALK THE MOON), a guest co-write from Lorde and a collab with Swedish pop star and all round good ‘un Tove Lo.

“We know more about what we’re up to and that’s definitely influenced the way that we wrote,” says Caleb. “This album is a punch in the face compared to the last one. Evergreen was very subtle and airy, Conscious really goes for the throat.”

A variety of bundle options, including signed CDs, t-shirts and limited edition lithographs, are currently available to preorder online ahead of the album’s release next month. Get in now, before they go…

What’s more, BROODS have also confirmed three live Australian dates. Details here
