Fresh from their recent signing to Polydor, US trio LANY (Los Angeles New York) have premiered the official music video for their brilliant single Where The Hell Are My Friends.
Driven by airy synths, funky string plucks and snappy snare-taps, the track is a thoroughbred, sonically faithful to the breezy California haze that has influenced many a song from the West Coast but lyrically tapping in to a sense of loss amidst the bustling LA sprawl. The clip for WTHAMF reflects that theme of isolation with lead singer Paul Klein bouncing off the walls as he traverses hoards of party revellers who freeze when he’s in the room.
