Lawson have released the official music video for their very good new single Money.
“It’s a fun, upbeat song that we wrote actually quite a while ago actually and we’ve been holding onto the hook and the idea of where is the money,” singer Andy Brown told Capital FM earlier this month. “Basically we wrote it when were were touring round in the back of a van and we were unsigned and sleeping on each others couches. We kept the idea, developed it into the studio and it turned into this big, pop anthem.”
The video was filmed in Shoreditch and the British band, who have scored a number of UK Top 10 singles with hits like Brokenhearted, Juliet and Standing in the Dark, roped in their mates to appear in the clip.
Set for release on 18 March, Money serves as the lead single from Lawson’s upcoming second album Perspective which will be released via Polydor later this year.
