Canadian pop star Allie X has premiered a brand new track that features on her first official UK EP Catch which comes out this coming Friday (13 November).
Never Enough premiered over at Hunger TV and the Toronto-raised tour de force says that the emotional synth-heavy, heartbreak ballad is about exploring “the idea of being in ‘love’ with someone to the point where a relationship self implodes.”
“Very often people feel a ‘burning love’, but that feeling doesn’t seem to sustain itself,” she explains. “‘Love’ isn’t enough to keep two people together.”
The classically trained singer emerged as a big player earlier last year with the phenomenal tracks Bitch, Prime and Catch which later featured on her debut collection CollXtion I which came out at the start of the year.
Check out this immaculate live set of Allie performing her entire CollXtion I album at the Phi Centre in Montreal. Now THAT’S how you pop star.
