The peppy, electro-pop rock number Wake Up is the title track from the British band’s upcoming second studio album, which will be released 27 November. It received its first UK radio play on Capital FM last week, before being released to iTunes, along with an EP of the same name featuring five acoustic tracks.
The Vamps’ James McVey told the audience of UK daytime panel show Loose Women on Friday how his friend, Victoria and David Beckham’s eldest son, ended up in the clip:
“I was speaking to him [Brooklyn] online and then texting him a little bit, and then we knew we were both in LA at the same time and we thought it would be cool to get him involved really,” he said. “I sent him a text and asked him if he’d be the lead role and he said yes.”
The Vamps’ debut album Meet The Vamps charted at #2 in the UK last year and reached the top ten in Australia, New Zealand. The record spawned five top ten singles including two collaborations with Demi Lovato and Shawn Mendes.
