Olivver the Kid premieres new song World on Fire from upcoming EP The Boy Who Cried Wolf:

Formerly the drummer with Californian rock band The Neighbourhood, it’s Bryan Sammis who is the alter ego of Olivver the Kid; a man whose solo career has got off to a pretty promising start with one critically acclaimed EP (last year’s Freak) and a sold out ‘American Youth’ tour Halsey and Young Rising Sons already under his belt.

World on Fire is the lead single from his upcoming second EP The Boy Who Cried Wolf, which will be released to iTunes on 16 October, and it’s a flipping excellent alt-pop number built around effortlessly cool, casually delivered verses that explode in to a synth-bursting chorus that you’ll struggle to shake off. He definitely wins this one.

The track received its premiere earlier this week via Zane Lowe and Complex, and if you preorder Olivver the Kid’s new 5 track EP from iTunes, you’ll get World on Fire as an instant download. Finally, if you’re about in New York on 14 October, you can also catch him playing at Webster Hall on 14 October as part of the city’s CMJ Music Marathon.
