The three song collection marks the second time that Minogue and Garibay have worked together, the pair having previously released a free collaborative EP last year.
Closest to the sound of Kylie + Garibay Pt. 1 is in fact the Shaggy-assisted Black and White which kicks off proceedings, sounding at first like one of Ms Minogue’s dreamy Aphrodite offshoots before the Jamaican guest star takes the vocal reins over a thumping electro backing.
Meanwhile, If I Can’t Have You is a duet with fellow Aussie Sam Sparro, that sees the Black and Gold hit maker contributing velvety vocals to Kylie’s pop croon over bubbling Balearic beats – the love song is one that would make for a perfect end-of-night closer.
Finally Kylie reunites with Italio-lengend Giorgio Moroder on the epic electro-pop cut Your Body, having featured on Right Here, Right Now – the lead cut from the producer’s own album Déja Vu – earlier this year. The track weaves effortlessly from its romantic Italian-spoken intro into Kylie’s familiarly slinky pop territory before cranking up the synths and gorgeous waves of dreamy backing vocals for a spectacular outro.
The new material was sent to iTunes today (11 September) and you can download it here.
