We’ve been excited about The Beach for a while now – ever since hearing his powerful debut single Thieves and the equally-as-captivating follow up From Above. Next up from the London-based singer-songwriter – real name for the record, George Morgan – is an official EP called Maybe? which is set to impact iTunes on 9 October.
The collection’s title track was premiered by Zane Lowe on Beats 1 last week, and today the much-lauded newcomer unveiled its official music video on VEVO.
With its acoustic blend of guitar plucks and stirring, impassioned vocals Maybe? continues to cultivate the intimate, homegrown studio sound that permeated The Beach’s first two releases and, like on its predecessors, assistance is again received from Morgan’s regular go-to producer, Max Hosinger.
The three other tracks included on the EP are Home, Who’s To Say, and Like A Fool and, ahead of the EP’s release, The Beach will play three dates at London’s The Social on Monday 7 September, Tuesday 15 September and Monday 28 September.
