Spring / Summer / Winter / Dread will be sent to iTunes on 4 September, as the follow up to the Manchester-based band’s previous releases from the record, Distant Past and Regret.
“The song talks about seasons passing and getting older, so we wanted to concentrate on the Sun and make it into a kind of oppressive force – positive and life-giving but also burning and destructive,” says Jonathan Higgs who produced the video for the new single, filming in a quarry and using ultra violet and infra-red camera techniques to create the sense of a barren, intensely hot landscape.
Everything Everything will perform at Reading and Leeds Festival later this month, and they’ll soon embark on a twelve date tour of the UK which kicks off in Cardiff on 7 November. Full dates can be found below the video for Spring / Summer / Winter / Dread which you can catch here.
