Released to iTunes today [24 July], the three track collection sees the Hertfordshire-raised songbird taking on a hat trick of classics, and injecting each with the timeless, translucent quality of her effortlessly heartfelt vocals.
The EP was produced by Steve Anderson who has worked on each of Harriet’s releases to date, and his orchestral arrangements of Every Breath You Take by The Police, Aerosmith’s I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing and Michael Jackson’s She’s Out Of My Life further draws upon the enchanting magic of Harriet’s voice and adds a sweeping, cinematic layer to the set.
“This summer, the two of us spent days in the studio, experimenting with different interpretations of songs by writers that we’ve always respected and loved. Diane Warren, for example, is one of my favourite composers,” wrote Harriet on her website earlier this week. “I wanted to bring a feminine edge to these songs, originally performed by three iconic male vocalists. I hope you enjoy the EP. We absolutely loved making it.”
