I Am Giant benefitted from a bit of extra publicity earlier this year when drummer Shelton Woolright was drafted in with Natalie Bassingthwaite to replace ousted X Factor NZ judges Natalia Kills and Willy Moon.
The band later premiered their slow-burning, electro-tinged single Kiss From A Ghost on the show and, with six live NZ dates lined up for later this month, the four piece have now unveiled the emotionally-fuelled rock track’s official music video which was produced by Tim Van Dammen.
The upcoming tour, which kicks off in Dunesin on 23 July (more details at the foot of this post), is I Am Giant’s first in their home country since UK-based lead singer Ryan Redman joined the line up last year, replacing fellow Brit Ed Martin.
Says Shelton about performing on stage for their fans again: “We can’t wait to get on the road this year with Ryan. Playing two shows at Homegrown in February was such a highlight for all of us. Touring is where we feel at home and I’m amped to get behind the drums on stage again“.
If that wasn’t enough, I Am Giant will release an EP, also called Kiss From A Ghost, later this year via Sony Music. In the meantime, download Kiss From A Ghost from iTunes here and watch the clip below.
