The 2015 Billboard Music Awards opened this evening with the premiere of Taylor Swift’s star-studded music video for her newly remixed single Bad Blood.
As well as contributing his own verse to the song, rumoured to be about Swift’s fractured friendship with Katy Perry, US rapper Kendrick Lamar is one of many of the award-winning pop star’s celebrity pals to appear in the song’s music video. The clip has been preceded by a much-talked about online campaign, that features those involved as the face of their own individual Sin City-style movie poster. Amongst those turning up in the largely all-female line up are Jessica Alba, Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, Ellie Goulding and Marisa Hargitay.
The Max Martin and Shellback-produced track is the fourth official single to be lifted from the singer-songwriter’s multi-platinum selling fifth studio album 1989, which has sold over 8m copies worldwide and already spawned the singles Shake It Off, Blank Space and Style.
